On the anniversary of his martyrdom, the Prisoners’ Club points out that the cases of prisoners suffering from cancer and tumors have escalated in the past few years, and today (24) prisoners are facing cancer and tumors of varying degrees, and the most difficult of these cases is the case of the prisoner Asif Al-Rifai, and the prisoner Commander Walid Daqqa.
Two years after his martyrdom, the Prisoner’s Club affirms its demand and the only demand of the prisoners, to restore the road that leads to their liberation from the prisons of the Israeli occupation, especially the old and sick prisoners.

Hussein Muhammad Hussein Al-Masalma was born in Bethlehem in 1982. He is the eldest son of his family, which consists of ten siblings and his parents. With the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000, the prisoner Masalma engaged in struggle and resistance to the occupation, until he was arrested on November 22, 2002. At that time, he was subjected to a harsh investigation that lasted three months, and the occupation sentenced him to 20 years in prison two years after his arrest.
At the end of 2020, his health condition seriously deteriorated, and he suffered from pain that lasted for more than two months, during which the occupation prison administration delayed transferring him to the hospital, and implemented a systematic policy of medical negligence (slow killing) against him, as he was languishing at the time in the Negev Desert Prison. Until he reached a difficult stage in his health, and he was transferred to the hospital, but it was later discovered that he had leukemia, and that the disease was in an advanced stage. He spent the last period of his detention before his release in the Israeli (Soroka) Hospital, and he was in a critical health condition at the time, until he He was released in February 2021, and retired on September 22, 2021
