UJH to Offer Advanced Trauma Life Support Training Courses


AMMAN: The University of Jordan Hospital (UJH) has taken a significant step toward becoming a key player in advanced medical training by signing a memorandum of understanding with the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in Jordan. This agreement, signed by Dr. Nader Bsoul, Director General of UJH, and Dr. Mahmoud Owdat, President of ACS in Jordan, aims to accredit the hospital as a certified training center for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) workshops.

According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Bsoul emphasized the importance of this partnership in enhancing the capabilities of doctors to handle trauma and injury cases. He highlighted the hospital’s commitment to participating in initiatives that improve the quality of human life. Dr. Owdat noted the hospital’s strong reputation in medical training and its potential to serve as a principal training hub for doctors and medical students. He also advocated for the development of a training plan for nurses in ATLS fields.

The collaboration is expected to position
the University of Jordan Hospital as a central institution for medical education and advanced trauma care training, benefiting both current and future healthcare professionals.
