Hashemite University Engineering Programs Secure ABET Accreditation Renewal

ZARQA: The Hashemite University Faculty of Engineering has successfully renewed its ABET accreditation for another six years, ensuring its programs will continue to meet international education standards through 2030. This achievement underscores the university's dedication to maintaining high-quality engineering education. According to Jordan News Agency, the renewal process began in 2016 when the faculty first received ABET accreditation. The university's commitment to upholding global educational standards has been consistent since then. Khaled Hyari, President of Hashemite University, emphasized that the renewed accreditation not only recognizes the university's dedication to quality education but also enhances graduates' prospects in both local and international job markets. Dean Hasan Katkhuda of the Faculty of Engineering noted the significant efforts made over the years to maintain the high standards of their academic programs. He highlighted that the accreditation involves periodic reviews to ensur e continuous improvement and alignment with the latest advancements in the engineering sector. The accreditation renewal encompasses seven bachelor's programs, including civil, medical, electrical, computer, industrial, mechanical, and mechatronics engineering disciplines, reflecting the faculty's broad scope and commitment to diverse engineering fields.
