Beirut: The United Kingdom on Monday condemned attacks against United Nations peacekeepers in Lebanon following the deaths of three personnel over the past two days and injuries to several others, in what it described as an "unacceptable" situation.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, UK Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, expressed his concerns through a post on the X platform. He stated, "3 UN peacekeepers have died in Lebanon in the last two days. More injured. This is unacceptable. The UK condemns all attacks against peacekeepers. All parties to the conflict must ensure the safety and security of UNIFIL personnel, in accordance with international law."
