US-Iran Talks Scheduled for Thursday in Geneva


Geneva: A senior US official has disclosed plans for a new round of talks with Iran to be held on Thursday.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions are set to take place in Geneva and have been confirmed by multiple sources.



The US official indicated that the negotiations aim to address ongoing concerns and potential agreements, with the talks involving key representatives from both nations. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, in a conversation with CBS News, mentioned his likely meeting with US envoy Steve Wittkopf, suggesting that a diplomatic resolution with Washington remains possible.



The preparations for these talks were revealed earlier, with US negotiators expressing readiness to engage in discussions on Friday, contingent upon receiving a comprehensive Iranian proposal on a nuclear agreement within the next two days.
