Wafa Foundation receives the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Islamic Charitable Organization in the State of Kuwait


The Wafa Foundation for Development and Capacity Building in Palestine received, this Saturday, Dr. Abdullah Maatouq Al-Maatouq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Islamic Charitable Organization in the sisterly State of Kuwait and Special Advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, as this auspicious visit comes in light of a strategic partnership. Between the Commission and the Wafa Foundation in implementing humanitarian and development work programs at the level of the State of Palestine.



Dr. Al-Maatouq presented gifts to orphan girls in refugee camps in the West Bank, where he praised the great efforts that the Wafa Foundation is implementing in partnership with the International Islamic Charitable Organization. Dr. Al-Maatouq also expressed his appreciation and pride in the Palestinian people’s belief in their right to freedom and return, liberating their land from occupation.



In turn, Mr. Moheisen Al-Atawneh, Director General of the Wafa Foundation, confirmed that the International Islamic Charitable Organization is the largest institution supporting our Palestinian people, and he considered this high-level visit the culmination of humanitarian and development efforts, programs and projects throughout the State of Palestine, with generous and consistent support from the sister State of Kuwait through the International Islamic Charitable Organization. Which is keen to deliver aid to those who need it, and to strengthen the resilience and resilience of our people, and this is not strange for sister Kuwait, which was chosen as a center for humanitarian work by the United Nations.



For his part, Minister Nasser Qatami expressed, on the sidelines of his inspection of the project to assist students in Palestinian universities and its accompanying programs, that investing in the quality of education occupies a large part of the interest of Palestinian families, and that we look with reverence to the International Islamic Charitable Organization, which provides support and support for the steadfastness of our people under the occupation measures.
