Yacoubian Criticizes Sheikh Naim Qassem’s Claims of Victory, Calls for Lebanon’s Neutrality

Beirut: MP Paula Yacoubian has publicly criticized Sheikh Naim Qassem's recent declarations, suggesting that his narrative of victory could further entrench Lebanon in regional conflicts. Yacoubian expressed her concerns through a post on the "X" platform, where she emphasized that maintaining neutrality is crucial for Lebanon's survival and future prosperity. She warned that Sheikh Qassem's approach could hinder Lebanon's reconstruction efforts and its ability to receive international and Arab aid.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Yacoubian further cautioned against what she described as "vain Don Quixotes" who could lead the nation into an even more degrading capitulation. She warned of an external agenda that prioritizes the interests of the Iranian regime, using the Lebanese people as leverage and resources for its ambitions. Yacoubian's comments underscore the ongoing political tensions and the delicate balance Lebanon must maintain to ensure its sovereignty and stability.
