Youth and Sports Ministry to Enforce Legal Measures After Paragliding Incident


Beirut: The Youth and Sports Ministry is actively investigating a recent paragliding incident that affected the safety of three participants. The ministry has communicated its commitment to collaborating with relevant authorities to ensure adherence to public safety standards and the enforcement of laws related to paragliding.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the ministry is determined to prevent breaches of safety standards, particularly concerning flights conducted in adverse weather conditions. The ministry emphasized the importance of compliance with official weather reports to safeguard participants.



The ministry is currently awaiting a report from the technical committee of the Lebanese Air Sports Federation. It has announced plans to implement legal action against pilots and their affiliations if they are found in violation of the established public safety standards. Legal measures are scheduled to be taken on Monday if any breaches are confirmed.
