AgraME 2024 Inaugurated in Dubai: Showcasing Innovations in Agriculture for Food Security and Climate Resilience

Dubai: The Dubai World Trade Centre witnessed the grand opening of AgraME 2024 today, the Middle East's premier agriculture and aquaculture exhibition. The event was inaugurated by Dawoud Al Hajri, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, and Dr. Mohammed Salman Al Hammadi, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Food Diversity Sector at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, marking a significant milestone in advancing regional agricultural practices and enhancing food security. According to Emirates News Agency, Dr. Al Hammadi highlighted the importance of the newly launched "Plant the Emirates" initiative in his opening speech. He emphasized its role in bolstering agriculture across societal segments and strengthening food security through strategic partnerships with the private sector. Ahmed Khalil, Portfolio Director of AgraME, expressed his enthusiasm about the exhibition's potential to align with the UAE's Vision 2030, addressing challenges such as extreme heat and water scarcity through innovative solutions showcased at the event. AgraME 2024 is not only celebrating its current accomplishments but also setting the stage for future developments in agriculture. The exhibition features over 150 exhibitors from around the globe, presenting cutting-edge technologies and practices in crop farming, water management, and sustainable agriculture. Discussions at the event focus on soil health, biodiversity, and the adoption of regenerative agriculture methods to combat environmental challenges specific to the region. This year's highlight, the Regenerative Agriculture Middle East Conference, has brought together industry leaders to discuss the pivotal role of regenerative practices in the Middle East.
