Biden Arrives in Berlin for Talks on Ukraine and Middle East

BERLIN: President Joe Biden has arrived in Berlin for a series of high-level discussions with German officials focusing on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the evolving situation in the Middle East. According to Kuwait News Agency, President Biden was received by his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, upon arrival. An official ceremony was held at Bellevue Palace, where President Biden was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, a distinguished honor reflecting the close ties between the United States and Germany. Following the reception, Biden is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The discussions are set to concentrate on the war in Ukraine, with both leaders expected to address strategies for supporting Ukraine amidst its ongoing conflict with Russia. Additionally, they will discuss the concerning developments in the Middle East, which have implications for regional stability and international security. Biden's agenda in Berlin also includes a quartet meeting with Chancellor Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
