Beirut: The Association of Banks in Lebanon mourned on Saturday former Minister and former President of Economic Bodies, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fransabank S.A.L., Adnan Qassar, "who passed away following a remarkable national and economic lifetime career during which he enriched Lebanese and Arab public life with his sound mind, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to revitalizing the national economy and strengthening the role of the banking sector."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, "The deceased was a pillar of the Lebanese economy and a wise voice within the banking community. Through his position at Fransabank and his active membership in the Association of Banks in Lebanon, he contributed to consolidating the concept of constructive dialogue among the components of the national economy," the statement added.
"The Association of Banks in Lebanon, while mourning the late Qassar with great tribute, extends its sincere condolences to his esteemed family, and to all his loved ones and colleagues, asking God Almighty to have mercy on his soul and to inspire his family with patience and solace," the statement concluded.
