Berri Offers Deepest Condolences to Military Institution: We Stand with the Army to Enable It to Accomplish Its National Missions

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri expressed his deepest condolences to the Lebanese Army and to the families of the martyrs who fell while performing their national duty at noon today in the South. He emphasized the critical role of the national institution in preserving unity, security, and stability, and pledged support to the army as it continues to uphold national sovereignty through sacrifice and devotion.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri remarked on the destiny of the Lebanese Army, highlighting its commitment to maintaining national unity and security. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by the army, with more martyrs and wounded, in fulfilling its duties and preserving the nation's sovereignty.

Berri stated, "In this painful and bloody moment, we stand with the army and by its side, enabling it to fulfill its national duties, to which it has sworn an oath of loyalty and allegiance, no matter the cost." He prayed for mercy upon the souls of the fallen martyrs and offered his condolences to their families and the military institution, its leadership, officers, and personnel, while wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

In a show of support, Speaker Berri instructed the civil defense units of the Islamic Al-Rissala Scouts to place all their emergency and volunteer capabilities at the disposal of the army to assist in rescue operations and evacuation of the injured.
