Manama: Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the High Committee for the Care of People with Disabilities, chaired a video conference meeting with members from relevant government bodies and civil society organisations attending.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Alawi emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to creating an environment that supports the full inclusion of individuals with determination (persons with disabilities) in all domains. He highlighted the committee's ongoing efforts to implement programmes that enhance their active participation in development, in coordination with relevant authorities.
The meeting also reviewed the licensing of rehabilitation centres, monitoring and follow-up procedures, and the implementation of the national strategy for persons with disabilities, aiming to improve the quality of services provided to them.
