President Aoun Engages in Diplomatic Talks with Ambassadors at Baabda Palace

Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, engaged in a series of diplomatic meetings at Baabda Palace, where he discussed Lebanon's current situation and regional developments with several ambassadors. President Aoun's engagements included discussions with the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Murat Ltem, focusing on Lebanon's stance on regional issues.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also met with British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, who reiterated the United Kingdom's support for Lebanon's stability, sovereignty, and security. Further discussions took place with the Charg© d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Lebanon, Yasmina Raya, who was briefed on Lebanon's stance regarding military developments and the government's decision to maintain weapons exclusively under state control.

Later in the afternoon, President Aoun discussed Lebanon's stability and prosperity with Jordanian Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Abdul Rahman Hadid. The ambassador, on behalf of King Abdullah II, emphasized Jordan's unwavering support for Lebanon and the importance of restoring calm and supporting the Lebanese government's efforts to protect national security and sovereignty.

In a separate development, President Aoun received a phone call from the Vatican's Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin. The Cardinal confirmed the Holy See's support for Lebanon during challenging times and expressed readiness to assist in alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese people. President Aoun conveyed his gratitude to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV for his supportive stance towards Lebanon.
