Raggi Meets Portuguese FM Rangel, Reviews Developments and Push for Lasting Ceasefire

Beirut: Foreign Minister, Youssef Raggi, on Friday received Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel for talks on Lebanon's situation and fast-moving regional developments, as well as efforts to restore stability. Rangel conveyed Portugal's full support for Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, welcoming the ceasefire and the negotiation track as a real opportunity for a comprehensive and lasting solution.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Raggi thanked Portugal for its support in international forums and reaffirmed Lebanon's pursuit of a permanent ceasefire through negotiations, alongside Israeli withdrawal, full state sovereignty and exclusive control of arms. He also stressed the importance of continued international support, particularly for strengthening the Lebanese Army.
