Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday received Saudi Ambassador, Walid Bukhari, in a farewell visit and awarded him the National Order of the Cedar, rank of Grand Officer. This honor was given in recognition of Bukhari's role in strengthening and developing Lebanese-Saudi relations across various fields during his tenure in Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Aoun praised Bukhari's contribution to enhancing ties between the two countries and wished him success in his new duties. The President acknowledged the ambassador's efforts in fostering diplomatic relations and collaboration between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
Bukhari expressed gratitude to President Aoun for the honor and the support he received during his diplomatic mission in Lebanon. He conveyed his hope for Lebanon to regain its vitality and active regional role, along with experiencing security, stability, and prosperity in the future.
