Beirut: Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for detonating an explosive device targeting Israeli troops in southern Lebanon. The Islamic Resistance, an arm of Hezbollah, announced that the device was activated against Israeli forces as they attempted to advance towards the Safita area near the town of Yohmor al-Shqif, resulting in casualties.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the incident did not end with the explosive device. Hezbollah also launched artillery shells and deployed attack drones against two separate gatherings of Israeli soldiers. These attacks were reported to have taken place at Khallet Raj in the town of Deir Siryan and at the port in the town of Naqoura.
The escalation in hostilities marks a significant development in the ongoing tensions between Hezbollah and Israel in the region.
