Beirut: A decree bearing No. 3146, dated June 1, 2026, has been issued, calling on Parliament to convene in an extraordinary session beginning on June 1, 2026, and ending on October 19, 2026, inclusive.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the decree, signed by President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, outlines the agenda for this session. It includes draft laws that have already been submitted to Parliament and those yet to be submitted. The focus will be on laws related to the country's financial, monetary, and economic conditions, along with any other draft laws, proposals, and texts that the Parliament Bureau may decide to present to the assembly.
