Beirut: Madrid has been draped in red and yellow ahead of Sunday's FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, with a festive atmosphere sweeping through the capital's streets as many fans wear the national team's "La Roja" shirts.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, supporters in central Madrid expressed strong confidence in Spain's chances. In the city's streets, vendors continue selling national team shirts and flags, while bars have decorated their fa§ades and interiors with Spanish national colors.
The excitement has also extended beyond fans, with telecommunications companies joining the celebrations. Vodafone changed its network display name to "Let's Go for the Second Star," while Telef³nica chose the phrase "With the National Team" ahead of the final.
Several major retailers, including El Corte Ingl©s, Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, and IKEA, announced that they would close their stores early to allow employees to watch the World Cup final.
Several giant screens were also set up in the Spanish capital to enable fans to watch the final match.
