Acting Lebanese Army Commander Engages in Strategic Discussions with International and Regional Representatives

Beirut: Acting Lebanese Army Commander Major General Hassan Odeh engaged in a series of strategic meetings with key international and regional representatives at his office in Yarzeh. These discussions aimed at strengthening military cooperation and addressing regional stability.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Major General Odeh first met with Robert Oliphant, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Stefanie McCollum. The meeting underscored the importance of bilateral relations between Lebanon and Canada.

In a separate meeting, Major General Odeh discussed the prevailing situation in Lebanon and the region with MP Akram Chehayeb. The dialogue reflected ongoing concerns and the need for collaborative efforts to address them.

The Saudi Military Attach©, Naval Colonel Fawaz bin Musaed Al-Mutairi, also met with Major General Odeh to explore avenues for enhancing military cooperation between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. This meeting signified a mutual interest in reinforcing defense strategies.

Additionally, Major General Odeh welcomed a delegation from the Armed Forces Retirees Association, led by retired Major General Nicolas Mezher. Discussions focused on matters concerning retired military personnel, highlighting the army's continued commitment to its veterans.

The day's engagements concluded with a meeting involving a delegation from the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO). Conversations reportedly centered on the situation along Lebanon's southern border, reflecting the ongoing international efforts to maintain stability in the region.
