Ain El Tineh: House Speaker Nabih Berri met at the second presidency headquarters with Minister of the Displaced and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Kamal Shehadeh. The meeting also included Fadi Daou, CEO of Multi Lane Company.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions during the meeting focused on the general situation and legislative affairs, with a particular emphasis on the draft law concerning the establishment of free economic zones for technological industries. This draft law, which was approved by the joint committees two weeks ago, aims to foster technological industries within Lebanon.
Minister Shehadeh emphasized the significance of the project, stating that it is a crucial economic initiative poised to create job opportunities and boost Lebanon's export sector. He described it as one of the most vital economic projects currently underway.
Following this meeting, Speaker Berri also conferred with MP Adnan Traboulsi, head of the parliamentary Projects Association bloc, and a delegation from the Islamic Philanthropic Association. MP Mohammed Khawaja from the Development and Liberation bloc was also present. The discussions in this session revolved around the political landscape, legislative matters, and the upcoming municipal elections.
