Beirut: Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Friday reaffirmed that national unity and civil peace are "a red line" that must not be crossed under any circumstances, warning that undermining them serves Israeli objectives. Speaking during a meeting with a delegation from "Kellouna Beirut" led by former minister Mohammad Choucair, Berri cautioned against internal strife, emphasizing shared national identity.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri also expressed gratitude to Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and the north for their role in hosting displaced citizens. He highlighted the importance of solidarity and cooperation among different regions in maintaining the country's stability.
Furthermore, Berri strongly condemned the practice of celebratory gunfire, stating that it endangers lives and property and disrespects the dignity of the fallen. He urged citizens to refrain from such actions and to prioritize the safety and well-being of the community.
