Doha: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economic and Planning Affairs, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, in Doha, Qatar on Sunday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions between Al-Budaiwi and Al-Ibrahim occurred on the sidelines of the sixth meeting of the Permanent Preparatory Committee at the ministerial level of the Economic and Development Affairs Authority. The meeting focused on enhancing economic cooperation and integration among GCC countries, with a specific emphasis on the role of Saudi Arabia in these efforts.
Al-Budaiwi highlighted the importance of Saudi Arabia’s contribution to the GCC, particularly in economic matters. He commended the Kingdom’s efforts to foster greater cooperation and integration across various economic and developmental sectors among the GCC nations.
