Gov Games Day Two: Four teams qualify for Men’s Battle of Government Final


DUBAI: On the second day of the Gov Games 2024, four teams from a pool of 84 qualified for the final of the Men’s Battle of the Government Tournament, the Organising Committee announced.

Ajman Government finished first with 137.5 points, followed by Dubai State Security with 128.1 points. Third place was secured by Dubai Police HQ with 124.6 points, and in fourth place was General Directorate of Civil Defence with 124.5 points.

The second day of the fifth edition of the Gov Games 2024, held in partnership with Official Partner DP World and in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, witnessed intense competition. Teams competing in the Battle of the Governments all-male tournament overcame seven challenges in what was an energetic atmosphere.

The teams demonstrated a high level of competitiveness, teamwork, determination and perseverance to confront challenges that tested their mental focus and physical fitness.

In its fifth edition, the Gov Games witnessed a remarkable public turnout, reflecting enth
usiasm for the event and support for the teams. The Gov Games’ challenges are accompanied by an array of activities and entertainment events for the public, in addition to daily draws for a chance to win three Wrangler cars provided by Jeep, one of the event’s sponsors.

The Gov Games 2024 is supported by a distinguished roster of partners and sponsors, including DP World as the Official Partner and the Dubai Sports Council as a Strategic Sponsor. The Gold Sponsors are Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), Damac Properties, and Emirates Post Group (7X). Silver Sponsors are Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and First Abu Dhabi Bank. Dubai Festival City, Home Bakery, Al Fares International Tents, Jeep and Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) are also supporting the event.

Building on the success of previous editions, which attracted over 4,500 participants from various government entities, this year’s Gov Games has further enriched Dubai’s vibrant sporting calendar.
