Beirut: MP Firas Hamdan on Monday said after meeting President Joseph Aoun that the president reiterated his commitment to ensuring exclusive state control of weapons through the Lebanese Army.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hamdan expressed full support for this stance and for advancing recovery efforts, Israel's withdrawal, reconstruction, and the return of displaced residents.
The lawmaker also thanked President Aoun for supporting legislation granting certain fee exemptions to residents of southern districts affected by the October 7 aggression.
