Nablus: The Israeli army stormed the northern West Bank city of Nablus on Wednesday morning, injured 25 Palestinians and laying siege to its Old City, eyewitnesses told Anadolu.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams treated 25 people who suffered from tear gas inhalation during ongoing clashes in Nablus. One person required hospital treatment, while others were treated on the scene.
Witnesses described clashes erupting between dozens of Palestinians and Israeli army forces around the Old City of Nablus. The confrontations involved youths throwing stones at the army, which responded with live fire, rubber-coated bullets, and tear gas canisters to disperse the protesters.
Further accounts from witnesses noted the deployment of military reinforcements in and around the city. Israeli troops forced several families to evacuate their homes, repurposing them as military posts. The forces also conducted house-to-house searches across multiple neighborhoods in Nablus.
