Syria Condemns Israeli Attacks on Quneitra Province

Beirut: The Syrian Arab Republic on Tuesday condemned, in the strongest terms, the recent Israeli attacks on Tranja village in the northern countryside of Quneitra Province.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated that the attacks resulted in the death of one person due to the bombing of his home in Tranja village. Syria also criticized the Israeli occupation forces' infiltration and arrest campaigns against civilians in Suwaysa town, as well as their continued illegal presence on Mount Hermon and the buffer zone.

The statement from the Syrian Foreign Ministry described these actions as violations of the United Nations Charter, international law, and relevant Security Council resolutions, posing a threat to regional peace and security. The ministry urged the international community, particularly the Security Council, to intervene urgently to halt these violations.

The Syrian government emphasized its right to defend its territory and citizens by any means permitted under international law.
