Beirut: Israeli warplanes on Monday conducted multiple airstrikes across southern Lebanon, hitting areas in and around Tyre and Bint Jbeil as tensions in the region escalate. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Israeli jets first targeted the al-Housh area, east of Tyre, early in the day. The operation expanded by noon, with airstrikes affecting the southern city of Bint Jbeil, as well as the nearby town of Baraachit. The outskirts of Beit Leif and Ramiyeh also came under bombardment. Further strikes were reported between the towns of Kfar Kila and Adaisseh, followed by an attack on Burj al-Shamali, a town close to Tyre. The series of airstrikes has raised concerns about a possible escalation of conflict in the region.
