Beirut: Israeli warplanes launched an air strike at approximately 2:45 p.m. today, targeting the southern Lebanese town of Hanin, escalating tensions in the region. This was followed closely by another strike in the town of Aita al-Shaab. According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the strikes didn't end there, as Bint Jbeil city also suffered a similar fate around 3:00 p.m. today. Further reports indicated that Israeli forces conducted widespread shelling across various southern Lebanese border villages in both the western and central sectors. The shelling targeted residential neighborhoods, town squares, and even forests with 155 mm caliber artillery. The affected villages include Zebqin, Al-Dhahira, Alma Al-Shaab, Ramia, Al-Qawzah, Debel, Beit Lif, Kafra, Yater, Haris, Hadatha, Maroun Al-Ras, Yaroun, Barashit, Majdal Selem, and Shaqra, extending to Wadi Al-Slouqi, Al-Houjair, on the outskirts of Al-Ghandouriya, Froun, and Qalaway. Additionally, air raids intensified around the outskirts of Kafra town, mar king a significant increase in military actions in these areas, particularly targeting the border zones.
