AMMAN: Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), Fathi Jaghbir, engaged in discussions on Sunday with Iraqi Minister of Trade, Athir Al-Ghurairi, and Minister of Industry, Khaled Al-Najm, focusing on bolstering trade and industrial relations between Jordan and Iraq.
According to Jordan News Agency, the JCI statement highlighted that the meeting addressed the challenges impacting trade exchanges and explored ways to augment trade volume and enhance cooperation ties. Jaghbir, who also presides over the AMMAN: Chamber of Industry, emphasized the necessity to arrange meetings for Jordanian and Iraqi exporters to discuss enhancement of mutual exports and resolution of issues confronting traders from both nations.
A forthcoming meeting in Baghdad for Jordanian exporters with the Iraqi Trade Minister and the director of Iraqi Customs was announced by Jaghbir. He remarked that these discussions are pivotal as they precede the joint committee meeting, providing a strategic opportunity for Jordanian exporters
to engage directly with Iraqi officials and tackle challenges to “comprehensively and effectively” address proposed issues.
