Jordan Dispatches 105-Truck Aid Convoy to Gaza Amid Humanitarian Crisis

Amman: Jordan has sent a convoy of 105 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza in an effort to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the region, according to a statement from the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO). The convoy, dispatched during the third week of October, is delivering essential supplies including flour, baby food, ready-to-eat meals, food parcels, blankets, shelter materials, and winter clothing, which will be distributed through partner associations and organizations in Gaza. According to Jordan News Agency, the relief effort is being managed by the JHCO and the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army. JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shibli emphasized the clarity and urgency of the Royal directives to aid Palestinians in Gaza, highlighting the organization's round-the-clock efforts to meet the humanitarian responsibility. Shibli noted the extensive logistical operations underway, from planning and organizing the convoys to coordinating donations from international organizations and individ uals worldwide. So far, 3,757 trucks and 53 planes have delivered aid to the Gaza Strip through El-Arish airport. The aid is provided in collaboration with local and international sponsors, including the World Food Program. The JHCO continues to accept cash donations through various channels, including bank transfers, e-wallets, and online platforms, to support ongoing relief efforts for the people in Gaza.
