AMMAN: His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, in a meeting with Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, reiterated Jordan's support for Lebanon's sovereignty, security, and stability amidst the ongoing Israeli conflict. According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, which took place at Al Husseiniya Palace, highlighted Jordan's commitment to aiding Lebanon during these challenging times. King Abdullah II expressed Jordan's readiness to assist the Lebanese people and alleviate the impacts of the war. The King also emphasized the importance of coordinating with Arab nations and international actors to bring an end to the conflict. During the discussions, attended by Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, King Abdullah warned that the continuation and expansion of the Israeli war on Lebanon could escalate into a regional war with severe consequences. Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Mikati expressed his gratitude towards King Abdullah for Jordan's unwavering support, particularly in efforts to halt the Israeli aggression. Mikati also acknowledged the significant relief efforts provided by Jordan to assist those displaced by the conflict.
