Kuwait Highlights Importance of International Partnerships for Global Stability

Kuwait City: The State of Kuwait has underscored the significance of international partnerships as essential components for promoting global security, peace, and justice. This declaration was made during a special session of the UN Economic and Financial Committee, where Kuwait's representative emphasized the country's ongoing commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving worldwide stability and justice. According to Kuwait News Agency, Shabib Al-Ajmi, Diplomatic Attaché of the Kuwaiti Mission to the UN, reiterated Kuwait's dedication to backing global initiatives that align with the aspirations of people worldwide, particularly in light of recent global conflicts. Al-Ajmi highlighted that international partnerships serve as crucial mechanisms in addressing the dangerous repercussions arising from these conflicts. Kuwait has positioned itself as a leading advocate for such partnerships by actively participating in various international and regional organizations. Al-Ajmi affirmed Kuwait's steadfast co mmitment to aiding conflict-affected countries and fostering global stability, contributing to the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Over the last ten years, Kuwait has extended humanitarian and development aid to numerous countries impacted by conflicts and natural disasters. The support has been directed towards rebuilding efforts and the enhancement of infrastructure, education, and healthcare sectors in these nations. Al-Ajmi also drew attention to the plight of the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, who have endured severe hardships due to ongoing Israeli military actions. The devastation has affected infrastructure, agriculture, and essential services, leading to mass displacement. Similarly, the Lebanese people face significant challenges due to continuous Israeli attacks. In addressing these humanitarian crises, Al-Ajmi called for the utilization of global partnerships to deliver urgent aid to affected regions and to strive for a sustainable ceasefire. He emphasized that strengthening international cooperation through innovative financing is imperative for supporting humanitarian and reconstruction efforts in developing and war-torn countries.
