KUWAIT CITY: The price of Kuwaiti oil witnessed a notable decrease, falling by 90 cents to reach US$77.80 per barrel on Monday, compared to US$78.70 per barrel the previous day. According to Emirates News Agency, the state news agency KUNA reported the price data, citing the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on Tuesday. This decline in the local oil price is part of a broader trend in the global oil market. On the same day, the price of Brent crude also fell by $1.58 to $77.46 per barrel, and West Texas Intermediate crude saw a decrease of $1.73, settling at $73.83 per barrel. The drop in oil prices comes amidst various global economic pressures and market dynamics that are affecting the oil industry worldwide. Analysts are closely monitoring the situation, as these changes in oil prices have significant implications for economies and industries dependent on oil revenues.
