Lebanese-Syrian Talks at Jdeideh Border Crossing Over New Truck Entry Regulations

Jdeideh: Director General of Land and Maritime Transport, Ahmad Tamer, on Wednesday held a meeting at Jdeideh border crossing with a delegation from Syria's Ministry of Transport, accompanied by representatives from Lebanon's transport sector.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions focused on the recent decision by Syrian authorities to regulate the entry of Lebanese trucks into Syrian territory. The meeting aimed to examine the implications of this regulation on land transport and export activities between the two nations.

The Lebanese delegation included key sector stakeholders, demonstrating the commitment of the Public Works and Transport Ministry, led by Minister Fayez Rasamny, to work closely with the Syrian side. The goal is to ensure the smooth flow of transit operations and to safeguard mutual interests in the region.
