Mikati Emphasizes Tripoli’s Interests, Pledges Neutrality in Elections

Beirut: Former Prime Minister Najib Mikati praised the progress of the municipal and mayoral elections in Mount Lebanon, highlighting the importance of this milestone in the development process. He stressed the need to prioritize development projects over sectarian, partisan, and familial fanaticism, advocating for democratic competition.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mikati stated that the interests of Tripoli and its people are his foremost concerns regarding the municipal elections in the city. He pledged to maintain an equal distance from all candidates and called on influential political dignitaries to support the newly elected municipal council. Mikati encouraged them to aid the council in achieving the best outcomes for Tripoli and its residents.
