Mikati Engages in Talks with UNRWA’s Lazzarini and Norwegian Ambassador

Beirut: Caretaker Prime Minister, Nejib Mikati, engaged in discussions with key international figures, addressing critical issues affecting Lebanon and the broader region. On Wednesday, Mikati hosted a meeting with the UNRWA Commissioner General, Philippe Lazzarini, accompanied by UNRWA's Director in Lebanon, Dorothy Klaus.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on the conditions of Palestinian refugees residing in Lebanon, examining the operations and challenges faced by the UNRWA, particularly in the occupied Palestinian territories. The discussions underscored the importance of continued support and collaboration to address the pressing humanitarian needs.

In a separate meeting, Mikati also conferred with Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon, Hilde Haraldstad. Their dialogue revolved around the general situation prevailing in Lebanon and its implications within the regional context, highlighting the need for international cooperation and understanding.
