Beirut: The Directorate of Railways and Public Transport at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has announced the introduction of three significant new bus routes, marking a strategic move to improve public transport services across Lebanon. This initiative is part of an ongoing plan to provide citizens with safer and more efficient commuting options.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the new routes have been operational since Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The designated routes include Adlieh to Chtaura, National Museum to Tripoli, and Khaldeh to Tyre. These routes are serviced by new buses, demonstrating the Ministry's commitment to expanding and modernizing the public transport network.
In an official statement, the Directorate emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader effort to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance service quality and user safety. To accommodate growing demand, additional buses will soon be deployed on these routes, ensuring consistent and reliable service for commuters.
The Ministry has also provided detailed schedules and stop locations for the new routes, noting that these will be subject to updates based on public needs and operational assessments.
