Morcos and Pakistani Ambassador Discuss Regional Stability and Media Cooperation

Beirut: Minister of Information, Attorney Paul Morcos, on Monday welcomed Pakistani Ambassador to Lebanon, Salman Athar, in his office at the ministry. The discussion reportedly touched on the general situation and the bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Morcos stated that the visit of the Pakistani ambassador reflects the enduring friendship between the two countries. The discussions focused on Pakistan's efforts to ensure regional stability and the implications for Lebanon. This comes in light of President Joseph Aoun's statement welcoming any assistance aimed at achieving a sustainable ceasefire and preserving Lebanon's negotiation efforts led by President Aoun.

Minister Morcos also mentioned that the discussions included potential media cooperation between Lebanon and Pakistan. The possibility of collaboration in the media sector indicates a step towards strengthening bilateral ties beyond regional stability.

The Pakistani Ambassador, Salman Athar, described the meeting as excellent and emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations, particularly in media. He briefed Minister Morcos on Pakistan's initiatives to reduce regional tensions, which were appreciated by the Lebanese minister.

Ambassador Athar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to peace and stability in the region, highlighting the country's belief in diplomacy and dialogue.
