JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) issued a strong condemnation on Sunday, denouncing what it described as a horrific massacre by Israeli forces in Beit Lahia, Gaza Strip. The incident reportedly resulted in the deaths of over seventy Palestinians and left dozens injured, prompting calls for international accountability. According to Kuwait News Agency, the OIC characterized the attack as part of a longstanding pattern of violence against Palestinians, which they claim includes numerous massacres, genocide, and ethnic cleansing. The organization highlighted that such actions are in clear violation of international agreements, including United Nations resolutions and directives from the International Court of Justice. The OIC criticized the ongoing escalation of what it terms war crimes, citing the destruction, starvation, and obstruction of humanitarian aid as actions that tarnish humanity. The organization urged the international community to hold Israel accountable and to put an end to what they described as a culture of impunity surrounding these acts. In their statement, the OIC reiterated their appeal to the United Nations Security Council to take decisive action. They called for an immediate ceasefire, the provision of international protection for the Palestinian population, and the urgent facilitation of humanitarian assistance throughout the Gaza Strip.
