Tubas: Police spokesman Colonel Louay Erziqat clarified details surrounding a shooting incident that took place near the Turkish Hospital in Tubas, involving a police force from the Explosives Engineering Department. The incident occurred when the team was addressing citizens' complaints about suspicious objects in the area. According to Maan News Agency, the police force was engaged in handling potential threats to public safety when they came under direct gunfire from individuals identified as outlaws. The police managed to arrest one shooter following a pursuit, while another suspect barricaded himself inside a house. Negotiations were conducted with the second suspect, involving his family, leading to his eventual surrender without further incident. Erziqat emphasized that there were no injuries reported during the episode. He also urged the public and social media users to rely on official sources for information and to refrain from spreading unverified rumors circulating on various Telegram channels.
