President Aoun to Financial Prosecutor: Anti-corruption Efforts Are Key in My Presidency


Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday told Financial Prosecutor, Judge Ali Ibrahim, and his accompanying delegation that “fighting corruption is a fundamental task during my term. When the judiciary speaks, its word will be final.”



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, President Aoun emphasized his support for the judiciary’s role in combating corruption. He assured the delegation, “I am your first shield, and your role is crucial in combating corruption. Do not yield to any pressures or interventions, regardless of the source.”
