Port Sudan: Interim Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil El-Tayib Idris, met with the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, in the city on Saturday afternoon.
According to Sudan News Agency, Ambassador Fatih Yildiz emphasized the strength of relations between Turkey and Sudan, highlighting that he conveyed congratulations from President Erdogan and the Turkish people to Prime Minister Idris upon his assumption of office. Additionally, he extended greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The ambassador affirmed Turkey's readiness to cooperate with Sudan in various fields and to participate actively in the reconstruction efforts following the war's destruction.
Ambassador Yildiz further explained that a joint council will be established, consisting of businessmen and entrepreneurs from both nations, to bolster bilateral relations. He announced that Ziraat Katalim Bank plans to open a branch in Port Sudan in the near future, aiming to enhance trade relations between Turkey and Sudan.
