Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Thursday said one month into a "devastating war imposed on Lebanon," the government remains committed to ensuring that decisions of war and peace rest solely with the state.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the PM warned that Israeli actions point to broader objectives, including expanded occupation, buffer zones, and mass displacement exceeding one million people. He stressed the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to halt violations of Lebanon's sovereignty and international law.
Salam further called for greater Arab and international support, while urging national solidarity and rejecting divisive rhetoric. Moreover, the PM emphasized continued efforts to support displaced citizens and praised the resilience of southern communities, reaffirming the state's commitment to standing by them.
