KHORFAKKAN: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, chaired a Board of Trustees meeting at the University of Khorfakkan (UFK), where he reiterated his commitment to enhancing the university's role in academia and community development. According to Emirates News Agency, during the meeting held at the university headquarters, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan, who is also the President of UFK, highlighted the notable progress the university has made in recent times. This includes the expansion of academic and research facilities, as well as the development of administrative and academic systems. He emphasized the university's significant contribution to fostering social cohesion and promoting cultural and scientific values within the city. His Highness praised the achievements of the university, which are part of its strategy to establish a strong academic reputation. He stressed the importance of continuous improvement in the university's offerings to meet the needs of the community while maintaining its core values and principles. The meeting also focused on the holistic development of students and the creation of a conducive learning environment. Further, Sheikh Dr. Sultan approved several new projects and initiatives, including the establishment of an integrated sports complex that will serve both the university and the broader community. The forthcoming university budget and various committee reports on academics, finance, compliance, auditing, and financial resource development were also sanctioned. His Highness issued directives to benchmark the university's study plans against those of leading global educational institutions to further enhance the academic programs.
