Sheikha Fadia Al-Sabah Honored as International Ambassador for Social Responsibility

KUWAIT CITY: Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Chairwoman of the Kuwaiti Federation of Women's Associations, has been officially titled the International Ambassador for Social Responsibility by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility. According to Kuwait News Agency, the announcement made on Wednesday celebrates Sheikha Fadia Al-Sabah's substantial contributions to humanitarian, developmental, social, and educational initiatives within the community. The Regional Network for Social Responsibility, in a press release, stated that her new role as an International Ambassador will further her impact by promoting essential social responsibility values and encouraging the private sector's participation in sustainable practices. The statement from the network also noted that this appointment supports various issues tackled by the organization across multiple sectors, enhancing awareness and backing for these causes. The award aims to foster a culture of responsibility in the Arab region, particularly the Middle East, highlighting the need for private sector involvement in social responsibility to meet sustainability objectives. The formal award ceremony took place at the Al-Shaab Palace, attended by notable figures such as Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah; Dr. Haila Al-Mukaimi, Head of the Political Science Department at Kuwait University; and several board members of the Kuwaiti Federation of Women's Associations. Representatives from the Regional Network at the event included Dr. Salah Abdulrahman, President of the International Congress for Social Responsibility; and Dr. Shehab Al-Othman, Head of the Advisory Committee for Kuwait's Social Responsibility Program and the official representative of the network in Kuwait.
