Five people killed in Israeli air raids on S. Lebanon

At least five people were killed and several others wounded in a series of air raids launched by the Israeli occupation aircraft Friday on some villages south of Lebanon.

Two people were killed in Jdeidet Marjayoun village and three others in Ayta ash Shab, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

It added that the Israeli occupation raids destroyed some houses in Ayta ash Shab, Kfarkela and others, in addition to Israeli artillery shelling some other parts in southern Lebanon.

Winners of ’24 National Assembly elections in 4th Constituency

The main electoral committee in the 4th constituency announced the 10 winners of National Assembly membership for the 2024 18th legislative term, which took place Thursday.

The results in the following order: 1- Shuaib Al-Muwaizri (15,663 votes) 2- Anwar Arrak Al-Dhaferi (8,646 votes) 3- Obaid Mohammad Almutairi (8,141 votes) 4- Mohammad Awadh Al-Ruqaib (7,970 votes) 5- Mubarak Hmoud Al-Tasha (7,707 votes) 6- Bader Sayar Al-Shammeri (7,557 votes) 7- Saad Ali Al-Rashidi (7,188 votes) 8- Fayez Ghanem Al-Jamhour (7,120 votes) 9- Mubarak Haif Al-Hajraf (6,925 votes) 10-Mohammad Haif Al-Mutairi (6,473 votes) Polling stations closed at 12:00 AM (local time), seeing 200 candidates competing for 50 seats in the parliament.

US forces knock out missile fired by Houthi militia — CENTCOM

US forces deployed in the Red Sea region have knocked out an anti-ship missile unleashed by the Houthi militia in Yemen, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported late on Thursday.

At approximately 2:20 p.m. (Sanaa time) on April 4, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully engaged and destroyed one anti-ship missile (ASM) in a Houthi-controlled territory of Yemen. There were no injuries or damage reported by U.S., coalition, or commercial ships.

It was determined that the missile presented a threat to U.S. and coalition forces and merchant vessels in the region. CENTCOM is dedicated to protecting the freedom of navigation and making international waters safer and more secure for Coalition and merchant vessels.
