Kuwait Amir congratulates Saudi King, Crown Prince on Eid Al-Fitr

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah spoke to Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud on Wednesday midday to congratulate King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince on Eid Al-Fitr.

His Highness the Amir voiced hope for more progress and prosperity for the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the wise leadership of King Salman.

On his part, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman thanked His highness the Amir for initiating the phone call which materializes the depth of relations between the two sisterly countries.

He wished His Highness Amir everlasting wellbeing and Kuwait more prosperity and progress under his wise leadership.

UNIFIL calls for permanent ceasefire in southern Lebanon

The head of the UN Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and its Commander-in-Chief, General Aroldo Lazaro, called on Wednesday for an end to “hostilities” in southern Lebanon and a move towards a permanent ceasefire and a long-term solution to the conflict.

In a statement on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, Lazaro said that the danger of escalation is real there is no military solution to the current confrontation and violence, and a political and diplomatic solution is the only way forward.

He pointed out that since October, UNIFIL has continued to call on the parties to respect their obligations under Resolution 1701 and has continued its activities aimed at reducing tensions and preventing escalation.

About 50 countries send peacekeeping forces to southern Lebanon out of a sense of commitment, friendship, and the belief that long-term peace is possible in the region, Lazaro added.

Over 60,000 Palestinians gather for Eid prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Over 60,000 Palestinian worshippers performed Eid Al-Fitr prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday, the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem stated.

Despite being forcibly removed by Israeli occupation authorities, several Palestinian citizens joined in Eid prayers in the streets surrounding the mosque, the department said in a statement.

Israeli occupation forces heightened their presence in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, resulting in restrictions on individual movement.

Citizens and residents of Kuwait gathered in the early hours of the morning Wednesday to perform Eid Al-Fitr prayers, amidst a spiritual and joyful atmosphere.

People of all ages greeted each other as they gathered in mosques and playgrounds for Eid Al-Fitr prayer.

Israeli forces tighten measures on Qalailya-area town

QALQILYA: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday continued to tighten military measures on the town of Jayyus, east of Qalqilya, for the fourth day in a row.

Local sources said that a number of Israeli occupation vehicles stormed the outskirts of the town earlier this morning, raided several neighborhoods, and roamed among civilian homes, amid repressive measures against them.

Ministry of Economy prohibits the import of harmful children toys.

The Ministry of Economy and Trade directed all regulatory authorities to follow up on the implementation of the decision to ban the import of children’s toys in the form of pistols or rifles that use projectiles made of solid objects such as ‘beads and arrows.’

The Ministry said in a circular published on Facebook, that these goods have been added to the list of goods prohibited from being imported in accordance with the provisions of Article (3) of the decision of the Minister of Economy and Trade, due to their danger and the harm they cause to children.

Eid prayer in Gaza on the ruins of mosques.

Today, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip performed Eid al-Fitr prayers on the ruins of mosques destroyed by the Israeli aggression machine, in the shelter schools to which they were displaced, and in public squares in the rain.

During its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7, the Israeli occupation completely destroyed 229 mosques and partially 297 mosques .

In Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, where more than a million Palestinians were displaced, a number of displaced people performed Eid prayers in shelter schools and near the displacement tents, and several relief organizations took the initiative to distribute sweets and toys to children in an attempt to put a smile on their faces despite the difficult circumstances. The Palestinian News Agency “WAFA” reported, that despite the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip for 187 days, citizens are trying as much as possible to bring joy to the hearts of their children.

The majority of the children wore normal clothes, and were unable to buy Eid clothes, due to the difficult conditions imposed by the aggression and the destruction of markets and shops.

Spain: Recognizing a Palestinian state is a geopolitical interest for Europe

Jerusalem – Ma’an – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said before the Spanish House of Representatives on Wednesday that recognizing a Palestinian state is “a geopolitical interest for Europe.”

Sanchez reiterated that Spain is ready to recognize a Palestinian state, without setting a date for that.

He stressed that Israel’s completely disproportionate response in the Gaza Strip to the Hamas attack last October 7 threatens “the stability of the Middle East and the entire world,” according to what was reported by international news agencies.

The Spanish government said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will meet with a number of his counterparts in the European Union during the next week to try to rally support for the recognition of a Palestinian state.

Sayyid Fahd Offers Eid Al Fitr Prayers at Al Khor Mosque in Muscat

HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, today offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at Al Khor Mosque in Muscat.

The prayers were performed alongside HH Sayyid Fahd by Royal Family members, ministers, undersecretaries and senior government officials.

The prayers were led by Sheikh Dr. Kahlan bin Nabhan Al Kharousi, Assistant Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, who delivered the Eid sermon.

At the outset of the sermon, Dr. Kahlan glorified the Almighty Allah and voiced gratitude to Him for the bounties and blessings with which He endowed His creations. He prayed that peace be upon Prophet Mohammed and his companions. He thanked the Almighty for enabling Muslims to observe fasting throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The Eid sermon dealt with rituals of true religion that discipline the soul of the devout against untamed human tendancies and moderate their actions. He pointed out that mankind is entrusted to uphold the values of justice and achieve human dignity by
rejecting injustice and transgression, opposing falsehood and corruption and supporting the oppressed.

On this blessed occasion, HH Sayyid Fahd expressed his best wishes to all citizens and residents on the Happy Eid. He prayed to the Almighty Allah to bring back this auspicious occasion at a time of peace and blessings for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and to grant him good health, happiness and a long life.

Dr. Kahlan prayed to the Almighty Allah ‘to grant His Majesty the Sultan and the government success in realizing the goals of the development march in this country in accordance with the plans drawn up to preserve the gains of the Renaissance and meet the aspirations of Omani people’. He prayed to the Almighty to endow all Muslim nations with security, peace and stability.

Finance Min: Up to EGP 50 Million of “Change” Offered on Occasion of Eid al-Fitr

Egyptian Army Continues Airdrops of Humanitarian Aid Into Northern Gaza

The Egyptian Air Force continued carrying out its daily sorties throughout April 7, 8 and 9 to drop tens of tons of humanitarian and relief aid from Egypt and Jordan to the Palestinians in light of the unprecedented humanitarian crisis that the residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from.

The Egyptian Armed Forces said in a statement on Tuesday9/4/2024 that this came in the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-SisiÇ? ‘s directives to intensify humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinians and deliver humanitarian aid and urgent relief materials to the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The statement explained that this comes with the continuation of prominent Egyptian efforts to achieve calm and secure the flow of humanitarian and medical aid adequately and sustainably in light of the tremendous suffering experienced by the residents of the Gaza Strip as a result of the continuation of military operations.
