Caretaker Minister of Justice, Henry Khoury, has referred to the Supreme Judicial Council excerpts from a fresh decision issued by Investigative Judge, Tarek Bitar, in the Beirut port explosion case.
Khoury’s move follows the dissemination by media outlets of the said extracts.
In a statement, the Minister said their referral to the Supreme Judicial Council aims to check whether their circulation in media tampers with the principle of confidentiality of investigations.
