MUSCAT: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) general index saw an increase of 10.4 points, marking a 0.22% rise to close at 4806.49 points. This is an improvement from the previous session, which closed at 4796.05 points. The trading value also experienced a significant surge, reaching RO 4,217,700, a 71.3% increase from the last session's RO 2,462,133. According to Oman News Agency, the market value showed a slight rise of 0.036%, bringing it to approximately RO 27.85 billion. The report highlighted that the value of shares purchased by non-Omani investors amounted to RO 536,000, accounting for 12.71% of the total. Meanwhile, shares sold by non-Omani investors reached RO 719,000, making up 17.06% of the trading value. Consequently, the net non-Omani investment saw a decrease of 4.35%, totaling RO 183,000.
